The Unsung Heroes: Celebrating Our Community's Trustees This Week

This Trustees Week (November 3–7), we want to take a moment to shine a light on the incredible, often unseen, work that keeps South East Wales thriving.

We are proud to support and provide accounts for over 70 fantastic community groups across the region—from local Museums and PTAs to crucial Food Banks, sports clubs, choirs, and Community Councils. Every single one of these groups relies on a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes: their Trustees.

Why Every Trustee is a Lifeline

We know how hard it is to keep a community organisation running. It's a constant effort, and much of the essential work—the admin, the finance, the marketing, and the strategic planning—falls to volunteers with a deep, unwavering passion.

Trustees are the unsung heroes who accept legal responsibility, guide the direction of the organisation, and ensure its stability. They bring their skills, their time, and their commitment to the table, often without any recognition.

To every trustee out there in Newport, Monmouthshire, Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, and Torfaen, we want to say: Diolch. Thank you!

Your efforts are quite literally what prevent vital services from ceasing to exist. You are the backbone of the community spirit in South East Wales.
