Gateway Credit Union Celebrates Real Living Wage Week 2025: Paying a Wage That Truly Meets Needs

Gateway Credit Union is proud to be part of Real Living Wage Week, taking place from Monday, November 10th to Sunday, November 16th, 2025! This annual celebration shines a national spotlight on the UK movement that champions fair pay for all.

We are a proud part of this movement because we believe in paying a wage that truly meets everyday needs—like the weekly shop, or a surprise trip to the dentist. The Real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 16,000 UK businesses. It is independently calculated based on the actual cost of living, making it significantly higher than the statutory National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.

The benefits for businesses that choose to pay the Real Living Wage are clear and compelling:
