Your Annual Dividend.
Adult members of the Credit Union receive an annual dividend on all their savings with Gateway. This is decided each year at the AGM on the recommendation of the Board and paid out of profits made during the previous year. The Credit Union's profit depends on the amount of loan interest received and the running costs of the Credit Union. The amount of dividend can therefore vary from year to year.
Dividends are paid annually, calculated on your savings balances during the preceding financial year which runs October-September. We do not deduct tax. It is the responsibility of the member to pay any tax due.
