Gateway Credit Union Loans
You can apply for a loan from Gateway Credit Union only if you if you live or work in either Torfaen or Monmouthshire, Wales, or if you are an existing Gateway member. We never charge an arrangement fee or application fee.

- We will lend any amount from £50 to £7,500. Our rates are between 26.8% APR on small loans down to 12.7% on larger loans.

We lend for any reasonable purpose, for instance Christmas, repairs, holidays, vets bills, a new car, moving home, furniture, kichen appliances, home improvement. If you are looking to make a new start and take control of your finances, we may be able to offer you a loan to pay outstanding bills, credit cards and other lenders.

Our loan decisions are made by local people, not the computer. We take your individual circumstances into account and often lend to people who would have difficulty borrowing elsewhere, including tenants and people on benefits.

All our loans are unsecured. We never secure loans on your home or car.
- We expect you to save as well as borrow, leaving you better off at the end of the loan. We no longer restrict you from withdrawing your savings while you have a loan with us.

Our interest rates are competitive with the banks and hundreds of pounds cheaper than doorstep or payday lenders. Interest is calculated daily, so if you repay early you save money.
